Primary: At TAPA, this level continues basic ballet technique with structured exercises at the barre and center. Focus is on developing strength, flexibility, correct posture, building on Pre-Primary skills, and improving body alignment to prepare for complex movements.

Grade 1: TAPA further develops ballet vocabulary and technique, including basic turns and jumps, alongside syllabus work and combinations. Emphasis is on musicality, expression, artistry, enhancing technique and coordination, introducing performance skills, and building confidence.

Grade 2: TAPA expands ballet vocabulary with intricate combinations and complex barre and center work. Focus is on refining technique, balance, and control, strengthening musicality, preparing for advanced levels, and fostering discipline and perseverance.

Grade 3: TAPA emphasizes mastery of basic ballet techniques with increased complexity and precision. Challenging exercises develop strength and flexibility, with introductions to allegro steps and intricate pirouette combinations, refining technique and artistry while preparing for graded examinations and a deeper understanding of ballet.

At TAPA, our Junior ISTD Ballet classes cater to young dancers from Pre-Primary through to Grade 3, offering a structured and progressive curriculum developed by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).
