Welcome to TAPA Dance Company (TDC), where our team of dancers showcase the best talent in our school. The Dance Company is designed for dedicated and passionate students who strive for excellence in their dance journey.

Our Dance Company is audition-based, selecting only up to 12 dancers in each age group: Juniors, Inters, and Seniors. These dancers represent the pinnacle of skill and dedication at TAPA, embodying the highest standards of our school.

About the Dance Company:

To maintain their status as part of the Dance Company, dancers must commit to a rigorous schedule and demonstrate exceptional discipline and talent. The requirements include:

  • Ballet Training: At least 2 ballet classes per week.

  • Additional Discipline: Enrollment in another dance discipline such as modern, acro, or tap.

  • Jazz Technique: Participation in regular jazz technique classes.

  • Home Stretching and Conditioning: A challenging home stretching and conditioning plan to enhance flexibility and strength.

These classes and practices ensure our dancers remain at the top of their game, continuously improving and maintaining their elite status.

Requirements for Participation:

Once our dancers have achieved the required standard, they will participate in various competitions. These experiences not only provide invaluable stage time but also the opportunity to compete against other top dancers, further honing their skills and boosting their confidence.

Competitions and Performances:

Being part of the Dance Company at TAPA is both an honour and a responsibility. Our dancers are expected to uphold the highest levels of etiquette, discipline, and dedication. These are the dancers that put dance first and prioritise their training over other activities. This commitment ensures they not only grow as dancers but also as individuals, prepared for the demands of competitive dance and beyond.

Commitment to Excellence:

Before competition seasons we run auditions yearly, but if you are showing incredible potential in your classes we may invite you to audition outside of this timetable.
